What You’ll Do at Scythe

We’re looking for a creative and driven Marketing Intern to join our team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, sales enablement, competitive analysis and digital marketing strategy. You’ll support our marketing and sales teams in crafting compelling content, refining our brand presence, and launching marketing campaigns that reach and engage our audience.

More About this Role and Expected Projects

As a marketing intern at Scythe, you’ll play an exciting role in supporting Scythe’s marketing and business operations efforts. Your responsibilities will include:

Content & Social Media

    • Contribute to and draft blog posts, marketing pieces, and Scythe-branded content
    • Capture photos and videos of our autonomous mowers in the field
    • Support and monitor Scythe’s social media efforts, including brainstorming creative ways to engage our audience

Content & Sales Enablement Support

    • Assist in refreshing and expanding Scythe’s marketing and sales collateral to align with brand and messaging updates
    • Audit existing materials (e.g., brochures, case studies, pitch decks) and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Research industry trends and competitor strategies to inform content development
    • Create and refine marketing assets, such as one-pagers, FAQs, and case studies, to support sales and customer engagement
    • Develop and contribute to digital campaigns that promote new resources through social media, email, and blog content

Market Research & Strategy

    • Conduct secondary research on industry trends, emerging brands, and competitive positioning
    • Assist in planning and executing outreach efforts, including sales meetings, conferences, and events

What You Know Well

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with an eye for brand voice
  • Interest in digital marketing, social media, and sales strategy
  • Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable recommendation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

What You’ve Maybe Done

  • Experience creating marketing materials or social media content
  • Worked with design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma
  • Familiarity with data analysis and performance tracking (Google Analytics, social media metrics, etc.)
  • Assisted with event planning or sales outreach efforts

Closing

Scythe carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including education, years of experience, competencies and other relevant business considerations. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary along with your compensation mode preferences. The Marketing Internship has an expected hourly amount of $20/hr. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only.
