The Role
Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, the Construction Manager will have the responsibility to lead the function for the execution of Cyclic Materials Mesa, Arizona construction project. You will lead initiatives of standardization, enhance facility efficiency and innovation excellence as well as directly interface with the Construction Management Partner(s) selected for the construction of our Arizona facility.
This role requires a dynamic individual who can work in a fast-paced environment demonstrating a company commitment to project and professional excellence. This is a 6 month contract full-time on site in Mesa, AZ.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate with all Capital Projects team members to ensure that construction project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality
- Provide an unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve construction deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, general contractors, and external partners to ensure drawings, budgets, and schedules align with approved plans.
- Implement and maintain construction processes, controls, and governance in line with project goals and specifications.
- Establish and oversee project management practices including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and progress reporting.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design standards, quality, and consistency from planning through construction.
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize costs, resolve issues proactively, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure effective coordination between internal teams, consultants, and contractors for timely delivery of designs, permits, and estimates.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems that provide visibility into budgets, milestones, risks, and overall project performance.
What you will bring
- 5–7 years of construction experience representing the owner.
- Proven team leadership, mentorship, and strong organizational skills.
- Experienced in coordinating across operations, construction, finance, legal, and external partners (GCs, subs, trades).
- Skilled in problem-solving and site issue resolution alongside contractors and engineers.
- Knowledgeable in ground-up and fit-out construction methods and their challenges.
- Capable of managing on-site teams across multiple time zones.
Key Competencies:
- Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.
- Collaborative and highly organized
- Confident in challenging teams and proposing effective solutions.
- Understanding of process piping, equipment, pumps, tanks, and controls.
- Familiar with electrical systems (transformers, switchgear, VFDs, MCC rooms).
- Experienced in commissioning mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
