DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities
- Securely deploy and configure software to remote IoT devices
- Participate in diagnosing and fixing device issues remotely and implementing procedures and tooling to help enable the field team to self-diagnose and fix issues themselves
- Improve our redundancies such that the impact of a hardware failure is minimized
- Improve our autoconfiguration so that field operations do near-zero on-site configuration to install our hardware
- Improve our observability and monitoring to detect software or hardware issues before they cause an outage
- Monitor bandwidth and optimize software configurations to reduce bandwidth usage
- Interface with customer IT teams to deploy Aquabyte solutions
- Ability to travel occasionally for 2-4 days at a time away from Puerto Varas
- Fluency in Spanish and English, in both writing and speech
- Physically able to lift 25kg
- A valid driver's license and able to drive.
Qualification Required
- Engineering or CS degree
- Minimum 2 years experience in relevant role
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS
- Experience deploying to off-site hardware
- Familiarity with proxies, switches/routers, DHCP, HTTP, DNS, TLS, NTP, SSH and NAT
- Experience with containerized workloads such as Docker
- Build and maintain fleet operations tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis
- Experience managing certificate authority processes
- Working experience with wireless networks.
