Our intern programme

Participating in Winnow’s intern programme isn’t about taking a back seat—you’ll be given real responsibilities and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Joining a 10-week cohort of interns, you’ll take part in a wide range of learning activities, developing key skills and gaining exposure to colleagues and departments across our global organisation.

Prove yourself in the role, and you’ll have the opportunity to secure a permanent position as a Credit Controller within the Finance team at Winnow—launching your career with a company dedicated to making a real difference.

About the role

As a trainee in Credit Control, you’ll receive comprehensive training on how Winnow manages its credit and collections process. In this role, you’ll play a key part in monitoring outstanding debts, ensuring timely payments, and overseeing accurate account reconciliations to maintain strong financial health.

Key responsibilities

  • Chase overdue payments via phone, email, and written communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely collections.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and accurately recorded.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payment allocations.
  • Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, credit risks, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Work closely with the sales and finance teams to manage customer accounts efficiently.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable)
  • Proficient in using microsoft excel / google sheets
  • A strong interest in building a career in Finance, with a curious mindset to understand the financial operations of a global organisation.
  • Experience in using Xero is beneficial

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • You are results driven and can demonstrate how you have delivered effective solutions in a timely manner
  • You are comfortable taking ownership and accountability for your work whilst working effectively as part of a larger team
  • With excellent communication skills you are a confident and articulate presenter. You communicate clearly in both written and spoken language.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data. You take your time to get things right first time
  • Able to organise self, including effective scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills, managing multiple tasks in parallel and completing tasks to tight deadlines
  • Competitive base salary
  • Meal tickets - 35 RON per working day
  • 2 Wellness hours per month plus a 274 RON gross monthly wellness allowance or the option to swap the wellness allowance for a 7Card subscription
